Welcome to St Andrew's, Chardstock
Chardstock lies on the border of Devon, Dorset and Somerset. Chardstock village sits between Axminster and Chard off of the A358. The church has been part of village life since the 11th Century.
The building you see today was almost completely rebuilt in 1864. The driving force behind the restoration of the church was The Reverend Charles Woodcock, who was the vicar of Chardstock between 1834 and 1875.
When you visit our church there are booklets and printed guides available containing information about the history of the building.
Transcripts of the registers for baptisms, marriages and burials are available on the Chardstock Historical Record Group website
